Vivian Giannisis

Vivian Giannisis is certified (RYT-500hr) through the South Okanagan Yoga Association (SOYA). Her goal has always been to share her
passion for Yoga by making it accessible to as many people as possible.
She always is trying to expand
her skills through workshops/courses offered in various types of yoga and loves to bring new and creative ideas into her teachings. Over the years she has developed a unique style of peaceful yoga that is an extension of her warm and welcoming personality. Her soothing voice gently guides her students through poses that challenge the body while calming the mind and focusing on the breath. Vivian always reminds her students to honour their bodies and never move into discomfort. ~Yoga is about the journey, not the destination~


Vivian Giannisis instructs the following:
  • Yoga Works
  • A yoga class that will help bring balance to your mind and body. A hatha style class that emphasizes physical detail and focus, while incorporating asana (postures), pranayama (breath work) and relaxation.  This class is suitable for all levels.
     

  • Yin Warm
  • The Yin aspect of Yoga uses long held relaxed floor postures to stretch and stimulate the "Yin" or deep connective tissues of the body. This gentle practice will increase your flexibility, opening your hips, lower back and shoulders and will enhance your overall sense of well-being.
    WARM classes are about 30C, variable humidity.

  • Yin Fusion
  • In all Yang – there is still Yin. In all Yin, there is still Yang. In Yin Fusion we will balance the practice with some gentle flowing vinyasa, creating internal heat to prepare for movement into longer held Yin Yoga poses. Through awareness in all aspects of the practice we will find the edges of our limitations and subtly work beyond those boundaries with relaxed effort. This is an open class for all yogis.
     
     

  • Yin Yoga

  • Warm Restorative Yoga
  • Restorative Yoga - the perfect way to end your week and and ease into the weekend.  A completely restorative class guaranteed with the extra comfort of a warm room ! Suitable for all levels. WARM classes are about 30C, variable humidity.
