CHINOOK

Community WORK

WE LOVE TO GET INVOLVED WITH OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Building Healthier Communities

Our vision at Chinook is not only focused on improving your health, but the health of the community.

We engage in ways to bring yoga to those that cannot afford regular priced classes, and to bring financial support to registered not-for-profits and charities. One of the ways we do this is by running classes by donation (pay what you can) throughout the year. The monies collected go to registered not-for-profits and charities who are best able to direct the money where it is needed most.

THE POWER OF COMMUNITY

WE LOVE TO BE INVOLVED IN OUR PRINCE GEORGE COMMUNITY.

If you are a registered not-for-profit, or a charity in Prince George, contact us to find out how we can support you!

Yoga in the Park

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We would had loved to host Yoga in the Park but due to the uncertainty of forest fire smoke and the high cost of hosting, we decided to focus our efforts on running our classes in-studio, including our two Charity Community classes. We host two Community Classes; Accessible Chair Yoga on Tuesdays at 11:00am – 11:45am and Gentle Flow on Fridays at 5:30pm – 6:30pm. All proceeds go to registered charities and not-for-profits.

Chair Yoga Charity Class

This supported practice uses the chair as the central prop for asana. Moving through warm-ups, peak poses, and a cool down to savasana, this gentle Hatha practice targets mobility, stability, and balance in functional movement.

Gentle Flow Charity Class

Beginner friendly, this class will take you through a slow flow to build strength, and knowledge of asanas and pranayama. Postures are held longer than a regular flow class paying close attention to alignment to feel the full expression of the posture for your body.

Founded on the ideal of col-laborating within the community, fostering partnerships, and providing opportunities. This ethos is at the heart of every decision they make; it is even where their business name is derived from.

I love these juices!! You can tell that the owners of the company really care about the quality of their products and they put lots of care and love into every bottle of juice they sell!
